\/>\n<strong>Of ulterior motive, which is securely fastened to self-interest.<\/strong><\/h5>\n<h5><strong>Funny thing about ulterior motives is that they<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Sneak into action before you know it.<\/strong><\/h5>\n<h5><strong>Then, when you become aware of an ulterior motive in your words or actions,<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>You are either surprised and embarrassed, or you think it&#8217;s normal.<\/strong><\/h5>\n<h5><strong>The best way to cure a case of latent ulterior motive is<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>To cut it off at the pass, intercept it, and expose yourself to yourself.<\/strong><\/h5>\n<h5><strong>Here\u2019s how:<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Before you speak or act, ask yourself<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u201cWill I get an unwarranted benefit from this deal?\u201d or<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 comes under the heading of Transparency, the hardest kind\u2014<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Knowing <em>ALL Of YOURSELF.<\/em><\/strong><\/h5>\n<h5><strong>You have to understand, Baby Love, that<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Expunging your ulterior motives is much like<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Pulling your own knife out of your back<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u2014The one that you put there,<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>The one everybody except you notices like a red flag\u2014<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 The one that makes you a user of people.<\/strong><\/h5>\n<h5><strong>Far better it is to recognize your self-sabotaging daggers<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Before they permanently damage the rest of your life.<\/strong><\/h5>\n<h5><strong>Before you can even become aware of paths<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>To higher consciousness, let alone find one and follow it,<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>You must have some clarity about <em>you<\/em>,<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Focused attention on a goal, and purity of intention.<\/strong><\/h5>\n<h5><strong>Far better, it is, to catch the knife before you
