{"id":1585,"date":"2021-01-14T05:49:00","date_gmt":"2021-01-14T05:49:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/unseenreality.org\/?p=1585"},"modified":"2021-02-14T19:43:37","modified_gmt":"2021-02-14T19:43:37","slug":"hero-or-coward","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/unseenreality.org\/index.php\/2021\/01\/14\/hero-or-coward\/","title":{"rendered":"HERO OR COWARD?"},"content":{"rendered":"<audio class=\"wp-audio-shortcode\" id=\"audio-1585-1\" preload=\"none\" style=\"width: 100%;\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"audio\/mpeg\" src=\"http:\/\/unseenreality.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/HERO-OR-COWARD.mp3?_=1\" \/><a href=\"http:\/\/unseenreality.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/HERO-OR-COWARD.mp3\">http:\/\/unseenreality.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/HERO-OR-COWARD.mp3<\/a><\/audio>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>ACTIONS ARE THE &#8220;TELL&#8221;<\/em><\/span><\/h4>\n<h5><strong>A Hero\u2019s eye-view and a Coward\u2019s eye-view<br \/>\nAre exactly the same.<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/h5>\n<h5><strong>An <em>EYE<\/em>-view is simply the sizing up of a situation.<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/h5>\n<h5><strong>The ensuing emotions and actions are what separate<br \/>\nHero from Coward.<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/h5>\n<h5><strong><em>Fear<\/em> overtakes them <em>both<\/em> equally, but<br \/>\nThe coward runs backward for self-preservation, while<br \/>\nThe hero runs forward, for any number of reasons.<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/h5>\n<h5><strong>Regardless of emotion or direction, both can end up quite dead,<br \/>\nSitting on top of the ambulance,<br \/>\nWatching their\u00a0 \u00a0\u201crescue\u201d\u00a0 \u00a0unfold.<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/h5>\n<h5><strong>First, a camouflage shirt with no legs is pried from the wreck,<br \/>\nThen, a red hunting vest, pierced by the steering column.<br \/>\nEMT efficiency retrieves the legs and zips up the body bags.<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/h5>\n<h5><strong>The coward says to the hero, \u201cThat was close! Let\u2019s get outta here.\u201d<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/h5>\n<h5><strong>\u201cYep,\u201d the hero answers with a smile. \u201cWe almost had to stay alive.\u201d<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/h5>\n<h5><strong>\u201cYou mean we&#8217;re dead?\u201d<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/h5>\n<h5><strong>&#8220;Yep. That was your old camouflage shirt.&#8221;<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/h5>\n<h5><strong>\u201cOh, God! I can&#8217;t die! I&#8217;ve got too much life to live,<br \/>\nPlaces to go, women to see! What about all my stuff?&#8221;<br \/>\nAnd the coward jumps back into his legless body.<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/h5>\n<h5><strong>&#8220;Too late,&#8221; says the hero, who begins fading up into the Light.<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/h5>\n<h5><strong>&#8220;Dang it all!\u201d The coward\u2019s head pokes out of his bag.<br \/>\n\u201cNext time, you get to be the coward!&#8221;
