{"id":1657,"date":"2021-01-21T19:08:00","date_gmt":"2021-01-21T19:08:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/unseenreality.org\/?p=1657"},"modified":"2021-03-15T21:31:34","modified_gmt":"2021-03-15T21:31:34","slug":"watching-and-waiting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/unseenreality.org\/index.php\/2021\/01\/21\/watching-and-waiting\/","title":{"rendered":"WATCHING AND WAITING"},"content":{"rendered":"<audio class=\"wp-audio-shortcode\" id=\"audio-1657-1\" preload=\"none\" style=\"width: 100%;\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"audio\/mpeg\" src=\"http:\/\/unseenreality.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/WATCHING-AND-WAITING.mp3?_=1\" \/><a href=\"http:\/\/unseenreality.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/WATCHING-AND-WAITING.mp3\">http:\/\/unseenreality.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/WATCHING-AND-WAITING.mp3<\/a><\/audio>\n<h4>&nbsp;<\/h4>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>BAD, ULTIMATELY GOOD, STUFF<\/em><\/span><\/h4>\n<h5>Watching and waiting, hoping and praying,<br>A young man kneeled in the rain for hours.<\/h5>\n<h5>The lightning ceased, the clouds blew by,<br>The sun came out.<\/h5>\n<h5>He thought his prayers had worked.<br>He thought he was a fortunate man.<br>He thought he was blessed.<\/h5>\n<h5>And he was right, for when he returned home<br>He found his house had burned to the ground.<\/h5>\n<h5>A great relief flooded through him.<br>His burdens had gone up in flame.<br>At last, his prayers had been answered.<br>He was free from the tethers of materiality.<\/h5>\n<h5>But he found that freedom had a price.<br>Grief at the loss,<br>Sorrow for the fruit of hard work undone,<br>Anguish for life&#8217;s treasures destroyed.<\/h5>\n<h5>Anger<br>\u2014that this should be done to him, a good and honest man\u2014<br>\u2002\u2002\u2002Was his constant companion, for a while.<\/h5>\n<h5>As time passed, he became a wiser man,<br>\u2002\u2002\u2002Started his life anew, married, had a family.<\/h5>\n<h5>He began to understand:<\/h5>\n<h5 style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">That material things are necessary to maintain life;<br>That the lesson is not to be without, but to un-attach;<br>That the physical realm needs cleaning;<br>That the emotional realm needs purity, clarity;<br>That being unattached constitutes True Freedom;<br>That True Freedom is an interior State of Being, without which<br>\u2002\u2002\u2003Everything else becomes, quite simply, burdensome.<\/h5>\n<h5>He stood up, stretched tall, took a deep breath, stroked his gray beard,<br>And laughed at the unexpected way his prayers had been answered.<\/h5>\n<h5>He was beginning to experience the Joy of True Life,<br>Now that he knew God had a quirky sense of humor.<\/h5>\n<h5>04\/28\/18<\/h5>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/unseenreality.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/WATCHING-AND-WAITING.pdf\">DOWNLOAD PDF<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;
