style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>BEING IN CHARGE<\/em><\/span><\/h4>\n<h5>We are malleable protoplasm in the hands of the universe,<br \/>\nPretending we make choices of our \u201cfree will.\u201d<\/h5>\n<h5>Truth is, WE ARE NOT IN CHARGE\u2014<br \/>\nas much as we\u2019d like to think so,<br \/>\nAnd as much as it looks as if we are.<\/h5>\n<h5>External conditions, enculturation, genetics, past experience,<br \/>\nDesire, peer pressure, spur-of-the-moment mood, ad infinitum<br \/>\n\u2014Everything that makes us individual personalities\u2014<br \/>\nInfluences our choices more than does the Mind,<br \/>\nWhere free will supposedly resides.<\/h5>\n<h5>Choice and free will are a tangled mess.<br \/>\nIn order to authentically choose of our own free will,<br \/>\nWe have to be free to choose ALL possibilities.<\/h5>\n<h5>That leaves the ability to make free will choices hanging out to dry,<br \/>\nBecause we can\u2019t even surmise all the possibilities.<\/h5>\n<h5>In fact, we seldom have a free will choice at all.<br \/>\nYou see, our Emotional Body is genetically programed<br \/>\nTo automatically react to dangerous situations.<\/h5>\n<h5>Somehow, that reaction-trigger has expanded territory<br \/>\nAnd now fires off at inconsequential trivia,<br \/>\nLike traffic, roaches, and rain\u2014or no rain.<\/h5>\n<h5>Really, now.<\/h5>\n<h5>Until we voluntarily exercise our Will to master our REACTIONS,<br \/>\nUntil we learn to stop, think, choose, then RESPOND,<br \/>\nWe\u2019re just malleable protoplasm.<\/h5>\n<h5>That everything turns out just fine is a miracle,<br \/>\n&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;Even if we don\u2019t like it;<br \/>\n&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;Even if it hurts a while.<br \/>\nAnd we always wonder, \u201cHow did that
