YOUR BODY HAS A NAME

Let The Real You Shine

Your body has a name.
It was given at Birth.
The name will follow It wherever It goes, all Its life.

But you are not your body.
You are not your name.
You are not the illnesses or struggles,
The poverty or wealth that affect your body.

What you are is an eternal spark of life,
An eternal slice of consciousness.
A Life-Force so full of vitality and curiosity and eagerness to
Live, that it regularly wears out physical bodies.

You never leave the enthusiasm behind.
You always look forward to the next “learning” event.
You live in a permanent state of Joy,
Reinforced by all physical experiences,
No matter what.

Your body grows old, hard of hearing, dim of eye, over and over.
Still, you bubble in anticipation of revelations to come,
Exulting in new encounters on their way.
Never disappointed, for each episode is eternally fresh.
Extraordinary! Amazing!

But answer me this, Oh Nameless one:
How come you let old what’s-the-name
Go round grumpn’, cussin’, and judgin’, and all?

How can You be wonderful You, inside of a sourpuss?
You might at least tell it some happy-up secrets
To make it tolerable, lose the lip-service to bah-humbug,
And give all the folks you actually love a little positive feedback.

Until you do, well, yep,
Your body has a name, all-righty.
