Living in a mis-named heavenly sphere
Called “Pollyanna.”
You can’t have Love
Without Gratitude,
And vice-versa.
There’s nothing Pollyanna
About the work it takes
To keep them alive.
Like chickens and eggs,
They both come first,
And they’re best served scrambled.
